The Governing Body

The Governing Body is part of our whole team approach to raising standards. Governors bring experience and skill to our School, and a wider perspective of community affairs. They also act as critical friends in their regular visits to observe teaching and learning.

They are responsible for our strategic direction, for the approval of some statutory policies, setting overall attainment targets, performance management, and for agreeing our annual budgets. They work in partnership with the Head Teacher and senior management team in the development of our School Improvement Plan. This plan is linked to our latest OFSTED Inspection.

Apart from regular visits, Governors have various sub-committees and hold at least two full meetings per term.
