students joining our Foundation stage in

September 2009

Although we are a large primary school of 420 children, and have two parallel classes in each year group, we aim to retain a 'family feeling'. Schools are special communities and it is important to us that children are secure and stimulated in our school, but above all, that they are happy. We all know from our own experiences that if we are happy we are more likely to succeed, and we want all our children to enjoy success.

Our two Foundation classes are sited in a modern building and their amenities are good.They have an outside playground area which provides a secure extension to the classroom learning environment.   We have an entry point, which is used exclusively by the Foundation children so they are kept slightly separate from the older children as they enter and leave school.
