Our Mission Statement

We want our school to have an atmosphere of purpose and calm, and to be alive with learning.

It is a place where the confidence and the self-esteem of our children has high status, where children are excited by learning and are developed as independent learners.

We are a caring community. We want your child to be happy and successful in our school.

Message from the Head

Dear All,

I welcome you and your child to Sandgate Primary School. I hope that it is the beginning of a long and happy association with our school.

Our aim is, at all times, to ensure that every child makes the most of his or her abilities. Success is a great motivator and all children have the right to enjoy success.

All children have strengths. These can readily be seen in academic achievement or in artistic, musical, dramatic and sporting success. Equal to these are the abilities which help us to excel as people. We encourage the development of good relationships based on friendship, honesty and loyalty, as well as self-discipline, respect and consideration for others. We appreciate enthusiasm and the willingness to participate in, and enjoy, many different activities.

Every aspect of your child's character and development is important to us. We aim to build from strength, to strength.

We are a Community school. I hope you will feel encouraged to feel part of our school and to work with us in creating the strongest of partnerships. Together we can achieve great things!

This website has been designed to introduce you to our school. Please feel encouraged to visit us.

I look forward to getting to know you and your child during the time we will share together at Sandgate Primary.

Yours sincerely
Helen Tait C.B.E. M.A.
Head Teacher
